Dining Chair Height Standards
Height of a dining chair
The arms and seat should be able to slide under the table easily. The backrest usually stays in front of the table. Our Abel Dining Chair stays in front, and slides until the table until almost invisible.
The standard seat height of a chair is 45cm or 450mm. (measured in front)
An armrest should be around 15cm or 150mm above the seat height. Allow around 15cm or 150mm space between the armrest and tabletop.
Table space per chair
On a table each person takes usually 60cm or 600mm width. On a table of 180cm this means 3 persons can take place. To give people a bit more space tables can be made at 200cm as well.
